A source from Coindesk said Curv could be sold for $ 500 million.
PayPal is said to be in the process of acquiring Curv, a technology company that provides cryptocurrency custody services.
On March 2, a report from Coindesk said Curv is being resold, in which the buyer is PayPal:
"PayPal is buying Curv for $ 500 million."
Although PayPal information has not confirmed yet, but a source inside the company Curv said that "certainly this is true".
"PayPal made some big purchases in the past such as Vemno, and now they want to own something with cryptocurrency."
In addition, some people with relationships in PayPal also said that PayPal is really paying attention to Curv and want to buy the company as a springboard to enter the cryptocurrency sector.
Last year, PayPal was in talks to acquire crypto exchange and custody company BitGo but failed. PayPal then provided up to $ 750 million to buy back BitGo, but for some reason the deal was unsuccessful.
PayPal and Curv declined to comment at the time of writing.
