Nasdaq-listed crypto exchange Coinbase has launched the NFT marketplace in beta.
Recently, Coinbase announced that “Coinbase NFT is officially live” in the first beta phase.
“Coinbase NFT is a peer-to-peer (p2p) community platform where creators and collectors can jointly discover, display, buy, and create the digital asset, NFT,” Coinbase describes.
Coinbase for the first time announced plans to launch the NFT market in October last year.
“People can explore the huge collection of NFTs on the first Coinbase NFT beta. During this time, we will not charge transaction fees,” according to Coinbase NFT’s official Twitter.
Sanchan Saxena, Product Manager at Coinbase, described Coinbase NFT in a blog post: “This is a Web3 social marketplace for NFT. Anyone can explore the huge collection of NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain, and test participants can also create Coinbase NFT profiles to buy and sell NFTs.”
In the future, Coinbase NFT will support more NFT formats, not just photos and videos, but possibly audio as well.
Those of you who have recently signed up for Coinbase NFT's waiting list, please check your email to receive the platform experience code.
You just have to experience, create, buy and sell NFT... maybe Coinbase will have an airdrop for early participants.
