The world's richest Ethereum "whales" are buying up two altcoins at breakneck speed while most of the crypto market continues to fluctuate.

Over the past week, WhaleStats says the top 1000 Ethereum addresses have bought more Polygon (MATIC) and Chainlink (LINK) than any other crypto asset after Ethereum (ETH) and stablecoins USD Coin (USDC) and Tether ( USDT).

Polygon is a blockchain scaling solution, designed to enable mass adoption of decentralized applications on the Ethereum blockchain. The project's MATIC token is currently trading at $2.42, up more than 8% in just the last 24 hours.

In one giant Polygon transaction, an Ethereum whale purchased over $15.2 million worth of MATICs in a single transaction.

Last week, LINK also knocked out Litecoin (LTC) to join Matic as the most traded token among the top 1000 ETH wallets, according to WhaleStats.

Chainlink is a decentralized oracle service that connects smart contracts, allowing any blockchain to access real-world data. The network's native token – LINK is trading at $27 at press time, up nearly 3% from 24 hours ago.
