The CEO of Swiss bank SEBA shared his prediction for Bitcoin in 2022. According to him, thanks to the inflows of institutional money, Bitcoin will once again hit new highs this year, specifically in the $75.000 region. .

In a recent interview, CEO Guido Buehler said that at SEBA, institutions are looking for the right time to invest. However, they need the right partners and the necessary regulations to deploy the capital.

When asked about whether Bitcoin could hit new highs this year, Buehler thought it might happen, “the question is always when.” He noted when BTC (BTC.D) dominance bottomed out at 40%, it was a pivotal moment for investors looking for a directional game.

The interview took place at the Crypto Finance Conference in St. Moritz, Switzerland, where “connoisseurs” in the crypto space get together to discuss potential trends.

SEBA Bank is building a reputation as a crypto-friendly banking institution. The bank successfully completed a Series C funding round worth 110 million Swiss francs (~$119 million), among the investors being FTX and Alameda Research. In October of last year, the bank said that its customers would soon earn a return on their crypto holdings.

A crypto enthusiast himself, CEO Buehler believes that the technology behind Bitcoin will “redefine the financial industry.”
